Communication Students Receive Awards
The Communication faculty presented awards honoring outstanding students at the Communication Department’s senior party at Ophelia’s on Wednesday evening, May 9, 2007.

Outstanding Public Relations Student – Angela Wever
Outstanding Speech Communication Student – Brandy Gordon
Best Senior Portfolio – Jessica Strange
Honorable Mention-Senior Portfolio – Cyndi Nutter
Honorable Mention-Senior Portfolio – Chelsea Begley
Six Advertising/PR students were accepted into Alpha Delta Sigma, the national honorary society sponsored by the American Advertising Federation that recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement in advertising studies. Jessica Burns, Tara Davis, Yusaku Minami, Keizaburo Miyagishi, Jacqueline Nichols and Cyndi Nutter were the six students honored. Nominations are based only on consideration of scholarship and merit. Alpha Delta Sigma is the only national, professional advertising honorary society in American higher education.
Dr. Rick Maxson with his ukelele provided the evening's entertainment, culminating with his inspiring rendition of our Alma Mater.
